Ellie Avancy is creating empowerment workshops across the Philippines through #healPinas, offering a safe space to release emotional and mental baggage.
A Vision Rooted in Connection
In January 2025, Ellie Avancy set out on a journey with a simple but ambitious idea: to build a safe space for people to release what they’ve been carrying; the emotional and mental baggage that piles up over years and never gets put down. What began as a single workshop in Baguio City has grown into #healPinas, a nationwide series of empowerment workshops built around self-awareness, release, and integration.
Ellie’s inspiration came from watching how many people move through life carrying weight they’ve never had a chance to set down. “I realized people forget they can have a safe space of their own, one they can go to for their own healing, whenever they need it,” she says. That insight became the foundation of #healPinas, a safe space built for exactly that.
The Birth of a Nationwide Initiative
#healPinas officially launched in January 2025 as a series of empowerment workshops. Rather than focusing on one particular method, Ellie utilizes a holistic framework that draws from a wide array of practices — including breathwork, Ancient Hawaiian Huna, Ho’oponopono, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Mental and Emotional Release® (MER®).
Each workshop is built around a three-part journey: self-awareness, release, and integration. Through these structured empowerment sessions, participants engage with modalities designed to help them identify what they’re carrying and find the space to actually set it down.

Introducing Ancient Practices as Reclamation Introducing these modalities to Filipino communities came with a real challenge: helping people see that these practices — breathwork, Hawaiian Huna, Ho’oponopono, NLP, and others — aren’t foreign or outside their culture. They’re ancient wisdom that connects back to their own ancestral roots. Many people have been trained to stay within one traditional path, so inviting them to explore these practices requires a gentle hand and real patience. Ellie doesn’t push — she creates the space, explains the “why” behind each modality, and lets people come to it on their own terms. Over time, she found that when people understand these practices are about reclaiming something they already carry, the resistance softens.
A Unique Approach to Engagement
What distinguishes #healPinas from similar initiatives is its emphasis on continuity and integration. Ellie structures each program to encourage participants to carry insights and shifts beyond the workshop itself, weaving what they release back into their everyday lives. This approach ensures that the experience is thoughtful and transformative rather than a one-time peak.
Ellie explains, “It’s about people integrating the practices, the self-awareness, and their own reclaimed freedom so deeply that it becomes how they actually live, not just a temporary high from the workshop.” This philosophy shapes every event, ensuring that #healPinas maintains a consistent approach focused on deep, lasting change.
Creating Spaces for Healing
Ellie’s approach to #healPinas is built on creating genuine safety. Workshops are designed to foster the kind of space where people can actually be vulnerable, ask questions, and engage in the release work without judgment. By combining different modalities and traditions, Ellie creates environments where people feel held and supported.
Participants come to explore, to release, and to integrate which is the focus is on personal liberation and reclamation rather than outcomes or guarantees. This emphasis on real transformation sets #healPinas apart and gives it a distinctive identity in the landscape of personal growth initiatives.

Building a Movement Around Ideas
Ellie Avancy’s work with #healPinas shows how a single vision can grow into a movement when guided by clarity and real impact. In just over a year, #healPinas has expanded from one workshop in Baguio City to empowerment workshops across Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Tagaytay, Pampanga, and Davao City — bringing in over 200 participants. She’s also begun offering online workshops, with plans to reach Filipinos worldwide.
Recognizing that this work thrives when people come together, Ellie is actively seeking collaboration with other facilitators, event organizers, and venue owners who want to help bring #healPinas to more communities. This is a shared journey; one where people come together with the collective intention to create safe spaces for healing.
