OnePlus has officially introduced its newest compact flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13s, marking a notable addition to its 2025 lineup. The launch targets users who desire top-tier performance in a smaller, more manageable device. This model fills the space between the premium OnePlus 13 and the value-oriented OnePlus 13R, offering a refined blend of power, innovation, and portability.

Design and Display

The OnePlus 13s is equipped with a 6.32-inch LTPO AMOLED display, offering a resolution of 2640×1216 pixels. This vibrant screen features a 120Hz refresh rate that dynamically adjusts down to 1Hz based on content, conserving battery without compromising on visual fluidity. The peak brightness reaches 1600 nits, making the device ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

OnePlus has wrapped the phone in a premium velvet-textured back with an aluminum alloy frame. The phone is available in three colors: Black Velvet, Pink Satin, and an exclusive Green Silk for the Indian market. The design emphasizes a sleek profile and a comfortable grip, aided by Crystal Shield Glass protection and an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance.

Performance and Software

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on a 3nm process, the OnePlus 13s promises superior performance and energy efficiency. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, coupled with storage options of either 256GB or 512GB using UFS 4.0 technology.

The device runs OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 and is backed by OnePlus’ commitment to long-term software support. Users will receive four years of Android updates and six years of security patches, ensuring longevity and reliable performance.

Battery and Charging

Under the hood, the OnePlus 13s houses a substantial 5,850mAh battery. This capacity supports extended usage, whether for gaming, media consumption, or productivity. Fast charging is handled via an 80W SuperVOOC charger, capable of powering the device quickly with minimal downtime. The battery is rated to offer up to seven hours of gaming or 24 hours of voice calling on a full charge.

Camera Capabilities

In terms of photography, the OnePlus 13s features a dual-camera setup on the rear. This includes a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization for crisp, clear images and a 50MP telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom for portraits and close-ups. The camera app supports several features, such as night mode, HDR, panorama, and 4K video recording at 60 frames per second.

The front camera is a 32MP shooter, optimized for selfies and video calls, and it supports AI-based enhancements for improved clarity and color reproduction in varied lighting conditions.

New Features: Plus Key and AI Tools

A standout feature of the OnePlus 13s is the new “Plus Key,” replacing the traditional Alert Slider. This customizable button allows users to assign various functions, such as launching specific apps, toggling the flashlight, or activating AI capabilities.

Speaking of AI, the OnePlus 13s debuts a suite of intelligent tools under the “OnePlus AI” branding. These include AI Call Assistant, AI Notes, AI VoiceScribe, and AI Translation, all aimed at simplifying daily tasks and improving efficiency. Integration with Google’s Gemini AI enhances real-time capabilities such as live transcription and smart replies.

Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus 13s is priced at ₹54,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant and ₹59,999 for the 12GB/512GB option. Pre-orders are already open, with general availability starting June 12 through online platforms and select retail partners.

Buyers can take advantage of promotional offers, including a ₹5,000 discount with specific bank cards, exchange bonuses, and interest-free EMI plans for up to 15 months. Additionally, early adopters will receive a complimentary pair of OnePlus Nord Buds 3.

Final Thoughts

With its sleek design, top-tier internals, and intelligent features, the OnePlus 13s presents a compelling option for users seeking flagship-grade performance in a compact form. Its emphasis on AI functionality and customization reflects a shift toward more personalized, user-centric smartphones in 2025.
