A Passion for Education and Community Impact
Amanda’s story begins in the small town of Laurel, Mississippi, where she was raised in the Hoy Community by the late Charles and Brendalyn Campbell. As the daughter of two hard-working parents, Amanda was instilled with the values of service, commitment, and perseverance. With the love and support of her family, she grew up with a strong desire to give back to her community. A life-changing moment occurred when Amanda became a mother to twin boys, Darian and Darius, at the age of 38. The love for her children deepened her resolve to make a difference in the lives of young people.
In 2020, amidst the chaos of the Covid-19 pandemic, Amanda founded Unlimited Dreams Christian Learning Center. What began as a vision for an inclusive educational institution became a beacon of hope for local families. “The School Where All Achieve,” as it is affectionately known, began serving children from PreK to 12th grade. Its mission was simple but profound, serving children from all walks of life, with a focus on love, literacy, and leadership.
Unlimited Dreams Christian Learning Center is 100% tuition-free, serving families from diverse economic backgrounds. As a 501c3 organization, it operates through donations and the commitment of staff and supporters. The center has already achieved remarkable milestones, helping students transition from illiteracy to becoming members of prestigious organizations like the National Beta Club and the National Student Council.
Greater Expectations Children Learning Center: A Vision Realized
In addition to her work with Unlimited Dreams, Amanda is the proud owner and director of Greater Expectations Children Learning Center, a childcare center and preschool dedicated to nurturing young minds. Under her leadership, Greater Expectations has been recognized as the Best Daycare in Laurel, MS in 2025. Like her other ventures, Greater Expectations places a heavy emphasis on emotional, academic, and spiritual growth.
Amanda’s approach to education is rooted in a deep belief that learning begins with love. “We love first and teach second,” she says. “We meet the needs of the whole child.” Her commitment to this philosophy has shaped the learning experiences of countless children, and the center continues to grow and expand, offering children the tools they need to succeed academically and socially.
Overcoming Personal Tragedy: A Testimony of Strength and Faith
Amanda’s journey to success has not been without its trials. In 2025, she faced one of the most challenging periods of her life when she lost her mother and brother within a short span of 55 days—on June 21st and August 15th. The grief from these losses was overwhelming, but Amanda’s unwavering faith and commitment to her family and community helped her persevere. “I have learned that joy does not come from circumstances, but from the peace that surpasses understanding,” she shares.
